Get it Done = Done!
We just launched our new web application in beta. It’s dedicated to making teamwork rock:
Name? Get it Done
What? Teamwork. Made Easy.
What is cool about it?
=> Teamwork What do you use most to get things done? You work with goals, do a lot of messaging, crunch your to-do lists and manage a bunch of documents. Get it Done packs this nicely together and makes it social.
=> Globalize Get it Done features an unique integrated translations tool, so your teamwork can cross borders without problem.
=> Social Network We wanted to bring the social network experience into applications. That’s why we’ve built this right into the app, which makes everything you work on easily sharable.
=> Free Edition There’s also a free edition available, so please feel free to give it a try!

Go Global: Network Organizations

Globally Local
When you’re in a business that thrives on the effects of globalization, there’s nothing more attractive than expanding your reach to as many markets as possible. But it’s extremely difficult to operationally cater to a global market, especially when your in a services business.
There’s no way you can do it all yourself without a massive resource build up and the associated fixed costs.
But why should you handle everything internally, when modern day technology allows you to be interconnected to a network of worldwide professionals and resources that are readily available to help you?
That allows even the smallest company to be a micro-multinational and take advantage of the opportunities of today.
Exvo is a Network
Exvo is from the start built up like a true network organization and we use this to the maximum extent. What you consider your internal organization is only determined by the number of degrees of separation you actually consider internal.
Our organization is structured as a global network of team members, partners, investors, entrepreneurs, professionals, specialists and corporate partners and affiliates.
5 Key Advantages of Network Organizations
- Flexibility
- Agility
- Border-less Organization
- Low Cost Footprint
- Location Independent
Focus & Control
In a true network organization there’s no need to distinguish between people who are directly employed by a company, who are contractors or who are freelancers. This brings flexibility and agility to the organization, but only when the toolkit is available to manage the organization as one single entity. For example, you need tools that distribute communications, workflow information, and everything else you use, across the organizational limits.
That’s why Exvo products all have a social network component built right in. So no matter how complex the network around your venture is, you can involve everyone, without losing control or focus.
A World without Borders?
Probably not yet, but globalization certainly makes it seem that way. The internet has provided the people of this generation with previously unimaginable ways to connect.
This has it’s reflection on everything in our society and also in business. Being a network organization allows us to be everywhere we need to be within days. Which is a particularly great advantage in our line of business.
Would it work for your business/organization?

Startup, Catch-Up, Innovate
As we are burning through a development process to deliver the innovation we have designed for our products and organization, it occurred to me, that it becomes harder and harder for startups to deliver innovation.
That’s because they not only need to innovate, they need to catch-up at the same time too. And that is hard. Very hard. Especially when the resources you need to do it, are scarce and hard to find.
We have taken a structured approach to this problem. Perhaps some of our insights can help you out:
Startup
First of all you need to make sure your efforts are structured and have a shape that others people and organizations can relate to. The startup itself usually is the best way to do that. It provides the framework you need to get going and makes it easier to involve resources like people and supporting organizations.
This is especially important, cause when you’re innovating it’s hard for people to get what your doing, let alone be involved in it. This is also the biggest obstacle to getting the financial resources you need.
Catch-Up
This takes the most effort, cause you are expected to deliver about the same level of functionality and quality in your product or service, that took your competitors years to build and develop. You have limited resources so you need to do it in just a couple of months. Now that’s a challenge!
Usually there are some factors helping you to do this, like improved technology, but still it’s an amazing achievement. And don’t you forget it.
Unless you have some great VC funding, at the end of this process your startup is out of breath and looking desperately for that finish line. But…
Innovate
Catching-up isn’t enough. You need to add innovation to make sure your market will find you and identify you as a great new supplier to serve their needs.
But catching up AND big innovation will probably take more that you can give, about 99% of the time.
That’s why you need to innovate with marketing in mind. Choose a couple of areas within your product or service, where you can truly be remarkable, and innovate there. That will make it easier for your product to be successful during the early stages. And then of course you use that early success to finish your broader innovation.
If you make it, you’ve done something absolutely great, against all odds!
Isn’t that something you need to experience at least once in your lifetime? So go out there and startup, catch-up and innovate!
