Get it Done = Done!

by Danny de Wit

We just launched our new web application in beta. It’s dedicated to making teamwork rock:

Name? Get it Done

What? Teamwork. Made Easy.

What is cool about it?

=> Teamwork What do you use most to get things done? You work with goals, do a lot of messaging, crunch your to-do lists and manage a bunch of documents. Get it Done packs this nicely together and makes it social.

=> Globalize Get it Done features an unique integrated translations tool, so your teamwork can cross borders without problem.

=> Social Network We wanted to bring the social network experience into applications. That’s why we’ve built this right into the app, which makes everything you work on easily sharable.

=> Free Edition There’s also a free edition available, so please feel free to give it a try!

Do What You Love: Everybody Wins!

by Danny de Wit

Let’s put on our macro glasses and take a look at what would happen when you start doing what you love:

1) You Are Happy

That’s a quick gain to take advantage of. So far so good!

2) You Create Better Results

Because you are happier about what you do, you will achieve better results and therefor create more value.

That’s nice too! Possibly you even can make more money!

3) Your Clients are Happier

You create more value, which means your clients, in whatever shape or form, will be happier too.

Yes, the happiness keeps spreading and it isn’t over yet.

4) Your Replacement is Happy

Hopefully the person who replaces you also decided to do what he loves and now is happy doing your old job. Which creates the same positive effects for him and his surroundings.

And so on and so forth.

Isn’t that a great way to change the world? Make it a better place by starting to do what you love.

But…

Of course many people would say: ,,But what about all those jobs nobody want to do?’‘

I put to you, that there aren’t any jobs nobody wants to do.

Every job that holds value to other people and needs to be done, deserves respect. And because humans are social creatures, everyone wants to participate and contribute to society. So whatever the job is, there’s always someone who would be happy to do it and gain the value and respect that comes with it.

Things go wrong, when people are for whatever reason excluded from contributing and participating and aren’t able to get to that job. This can be because of many reasons, like language barriers or geographical differences. The internet, technology and other facilities are breaking down these walls.

We aim to help breaking those barriers down and to start working towards to allowing everybody to do what they love. Bit by bit, step by step.

So Now What?

When start doing what you love everybody involved wins. That’s pretty powerful isn’t it?

Making it easier for people to get going and start doing what they love. Open Company is all about that.

To Do What You Love

by Danny de Wit

How many days have you spend thinking: ,,This job sucks, but it pays the bills so I’ll have to muddle through…’’ ?

How often when this happened did you achieve something great and worthwhile? Probably not often. Probably never.

It’s completely clear why you have to do this. Bills need to be paid. Everybody gets that.

Some people would say: ,,Only do what you love.’’. But it isn’t quite that simple is it? It can be very hard to go from your job to making your money by doing what you love. A jump that might be just to far to make just by yourself.

And even if you succeed, then often it brings along new things you don’t want to do either. Like bookkeeping, cold calling, making deliveries, you name it. New things that are not your strength either.

The main fundamental goal of Open Company is to make it easier for people to make their living by doing what they love.

It’s simple: I don’t want to eat burgers, made by someone who has to make burgers. I want to eat a burger made by someone who loves to make burgers.

We have a great idea to make that work for many things, including making burgers. We want you to take your passion back. Stay tuned.

Welcome to Open Company

by Danny de Wit

What is Open Company?

This is a question we’ll be answering over a period of time.

In a way the name says already says it all: Open Company.

But what it actually means is a much bigger question and to big to answer in one post.

It’s also a question we don’t even have the full answer to at this moment. And that’s great!

Because this is a journey towards something that could be absolutely revolutionary. And since journeys often take unexpected turns, so will Open Company. That’s part of the deal.

But we like it that way. We love the tingling feeling of opportunity we get working on this.

What We Do Know for Sure

It’s about putting people with authentic passion back in charge.

It’s a way to spread great things quicker and broader. Global even.

And that is enough to get excited, don’t you think?

First See What We See

To start bringing you into our world, the next couple of posts will be observations we have made over the last 5 – 10 years.

It’s from that perspective, that we feel the time is right to kick-off a new era in entrepreneurship and business organization.
